So, what is metabolic profiling?

ABC’s specialist staff will scientifically establish your current fitness level and your body's fat and glycogen burning heart rate zones using proven techniques. During the assessment they will measure:

Resting metabolic rate – the number of calories that your body needs to function at rest and your fuel mixture (fat vs glycogen)

Anaerobic threshold – the heart rate when your body switches from burning mainly fat to burning mainly glycogen which determines the intensity at which you should be exercising to train your body to burn fat
.
Body composition analysis – the proportion of fat, fluid and lean muscle mass in your body

Blood pressure

What do you get from the Assessment?

The assessment will tell you where your Anaerobic Threshold (AT) is. It will also tell you how aerobically efficient you are across your aerobic base.

With this valuable information and correct training regime your body will make adaptations which will improve your aerobic capacity and efficiency, help move your anaerobic threshold higher, train your body to burn fat as a preferred fuel.

At the end of the assessment we explain your individual results to you, including your metabolic profile, which defines the calorie intake required to fuel your body, and your heart rate training zones which define the optimal exercise intensity for you. You will be emailed a set of results data with helpful tips and training advice.

As ABC are based both in Dubai and in the UK. Kinetic-One will take your booking and will match you up to one of ABC’s UK days most convenient for you. These days currently happen every month or so.

The session normal costs £250. We are offering a special introductory rate of £200. We will take a £50 deposit from you at time of booking and the balance is payable at your session. If for any reason you are unable to make your session we can rearrange it for a future day.When you book we will send you full information about your session: including what to wear, what to bring and how to get to Kinetic-One.

BEYOND YOUR SESSION: ABC TRAINING PROGRAMMES
.
You can either use the results of your session yourself to inform your training and competition goals. Or, if you are unsure how to do this or if you want to go further with ABC, then they can write you an individual training programme. There is a fee of course for this additonal involvement.

This training programme is provided through your own individual account on a high-tech but easy-to-use online porthole. ABC open an online porthole which is valid for a month at a time which will hold all your data and training sessions on a calendar, this is where you and ABC working together can keep track of your training. Each workout will also be emailed to you the day before to any computer or smart phone.

Its hugely versatile and you can even upload data to your porthole with Polar & Garmin training devices and heart rate monitors which assists ABC to support your progress as scientifically as is currently possible!
