Get fitted to your own bikes - not just on a jig!
This is our core fitting service - It's the one to choose if you want to bring your current bike with you to get it set up optimally for performance and fit (you can even bring two bikes for only £27.50 extra as we're nice people!). Fittings take place in Stroud, Gloucestershire.
The Total fitting includes every aspect of the "Introductory fitting" PLUS we will apply all the measurement data we generate to your current bike(s) and will work with you to identify the sorts of changes needed to your setup and equipment to acheivement optimal fit. We can even carry out the changes to componentry if required.
PLUS we will assess you riding your bike on a stationery trainer in our video suite and will focus on identifiying the key elements of effective positioning with you. This is also a fascinating process to go through! You will leave the session with clear and detailed measurement diagrams and a specific description of any suggested equipment changes and positional questions that you might want to explore further.

You will need to bring your bike and shoes and please be prepared to do some light riding on a stationery trainer. Changing facilities are available and we'll supply drinks.
We usually book up 10-14 days in advance (several weeks in advance for weekend slots) so you might want to contact us prior to purchase to check availability.

Before and After: Rider is an experienced triathlete experiencing lower back discomfort and difficulty staying on tri-bars ("Initial Position" in video). Through the bike fitting measuring process we established the optimal bike dimensions and asssisted the rider to adopt a body position that enabled the most effective cycling. (For this rider this involved raising the saddle and lengthening the reach - "Reach and Saddle Correct" in video). We then looked at back position and also the rider position on tri bars.
It was clear that the riders setup/position was resulting in impact between torso and thigh on the pedal upstroke (a very common occurence - see video section "Initial Aero -leg/torso impact" ) We adjusted the rider position and bike setup accordingly. The final segment of video shows the rider in an effective position. ("Final Aero"). Towards the end she drops back into her original position for a bit of a joke - illustrates really well the "before and after"! (Many thanks Helen for letting us use your fitting video!)
We continue to invest heavily in world leading technologies and training to keep us at the forefront of the Science of Cycling Dynamics. Here are some of the systems and tools used in our fittings (Please note that the systems used varies according to type of session chosen):
- Motionview 3-Dimensional multi-camera video analysis software (Used for real -time dynamic positional optimisation)
- BikeFitting.com - rider measurement jigs (to determine ideal theoretical bike component setup)
- Bike Fit Systems USA - Positional Models (to determine ideal rider position once bike set up correctly)
- Bike Fitting.com - Shoe Cleat Setting Jig (One of 3 seperate tools we use in this key area of equipment setup)
- Le Mond / Bike Fit Cleat Wedges (One of 3 seperate tools we use in this key area of equipment setup)
- Bike Fit USA Forefoot Measurement tool (One of 3 seperate tools we use in this key area of equipment setup)
- Bike Fit USA Cycling Specifig Goniometer (Used to seperately verify key system generated angular measurements)
- Computrainer Pro Cyling Ergometer - (Power measurement in relation to Heart Rate and other key variables)
- Computrainer Pro Spinscan Analysis System (Computerised pedalling technique analysis - Including seperate right and left leg power determination)
